MAD-SPORT holds PEFC and FSC® certifications. It’s not just a seal—it’s a way of working. Below we explain, in practical terms, what these systems guarantee, how we apply them in our processes, and what documentation you’ll receive for audits, responsible purchasing, or tenders.
Executive summary (straight to the point)
Responsible origin: the wood comes from sustainably managed forests.
Traceable chain of custody: we maintain traceability from the forest to the final product.
Ready-to-use documentation: we provide certificates, scope, and references on the delivery note/invoice.
Tender-ready: compliant with responsible purchasing requirements and public procurement.
What are PEFC and FSC®?
They are the two most widely recognized international forest certification systems. They assess sustainable forest management and, through Chain of Custody, enable you to trace wood from its origin to the final product you receive.
Responsible forest management: conservation of biodiversity, respect for local communities, controlled harvesting and replanting, and compliance with environmental and labor regulations.
Chain of Custody (CoC): documentary and physical controls that verify certified material is identified, segregated, and properly recorded at every stage (purchasing, storage, production, dispatch).
What does it mean in practice for you?
1) Audited traceability
At MAD-SPORT we identify and separate materials by batches and certification status (PEFC, FSC®, mixed, or non-certified). Every movement is recorded in our logs, allowing the full path of your order to be reconstructed.
2) Complete documentation
With each delivery you can receive, if needed:
A copy of the current certificate (PEFC / FSC®) and its scope.
Batch reference and certification status for the material used.
A statement on the delivery note/invoice in line with the standards (where applicable).
Declarations that facilitate audits of responsible purchasing.
Shortcut: you can download our certificates from the website and request the documentation pack for your audit.
3) Ready for tenders and responsible purchasing
If you participate in public tenders or corporate ESG/Responsible Purchasing programs, working with certified suppliers streamlines compliance. Our wood products with CoC:
Score points in technical specifications where environmental criteria are evaluated.
Provide verifiable evidence of traceability and responsible origin.
Reduce reputational and compliance risks in your supply chain.
